Sweden / Denmark



Begin in Stockholm capital of Sweden. This archipelago of islands connected by bridges forms a unique city.
Discover the historic old town Gamla stan, the royal palace, visit one of the many historic boats docked along
the shores. Discover the boutiques on Drottninggatan the pedestrianized main shopping district.
Take a day trip to Drottningholm the imperial country estate. Then head to the island of Gotland and its capital
Visby the medieval viking city. Travel across the Swedish interior to Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city
with café lined boulevards, a bustling harbour, and delightful shops.
Journey down to Malmo, the southern most city in Sweden. This charming town is almost a suburb of the
Danish capital Copenhagen as they are linked by a short bridge crossing, the Oresund. Certainly worth
exploring this delightful town before heading to Denmark.

Using Kusadasi as your base you can enjoy the sunny shoreline of this popular resort town with its grand
beaches and marina, while taking day trips to the local treasures of this region. Only 30 minutes away is
Ephesus a ruined Greek city from 1000BC. Explore the Library of Celsus, the House of Mary, the Gate of
Hercules, the Temple of Hadrian and the impressive theatre. Also a stones throw from Kusadasi is 6th
century Byzantine citadel in Selcuk.
Take a day trip to the great acropolis of Pergamum dating back to the 8th century BC. See the Temple of
Trajan and library ruins, altar of Zeus, and impressive amphitheatre. Make a stop in the cosmopolitan city
of Izmir on your return and see the clock tower and velvet castle. Next take another excursion east to the
spectacular white geological terrace formations of Pamukkale close to the Hellenistic ruins of Hierapolis
and the Temple of Aphrodisias, Goddess of Love.
Continue south to the port town of Bodrum which you can also use as a base to explore the nearby Greek

Take a day trip to the Greek Island of Rhodes, home to the Palace of the Grand Masters in Rhodes Old
Town. See the medieval Street of the Knights and the Mosque of Soleiman the Magnificent. Sample the
